Celtic rock band, The Indulgers have finally succumbed to their surroundings. Out In The West is country music with a distinct Irish flavor. Ranging from the instrumental “Park City Silver” to the violin sweetness of “High Noon” The Indulgers stamp a decidedly Irish brand onto what might otherwise be perfectly good country tunes. The collection comes off as a tribute to the Good Ol’ USA from a band of Irish immigrants, truly thankful for the opportunities this country has provided. Or maybe it’s a back handed compliment from Gaelic troubadours just trying to make a quick buck off a country full of rednecks. Either way, it’s well produced and fascinating. There’s nothing else quite like it. Could be the start of the next trend in Irish music.
