The Love Album, A Compilation by Colorado Musicians to Benefit the Food Bank of the Rockies was produced by Carmen Allgood, who also runs The Colorado Wave radio show. The production qualities of mastering and continuity are excellent. Ash Ganley’s “Savior” ends in an unexpected reggae twist. Rebecca Folsom’s “In Good Time” is a piano-based gospel piece. Phil Jensen’s “Blinded Mind” is a blues number. Xiren’s “Without All Of The Things” brings an other-worldly/world beat feel. Laura Haan’s “In My Dreams” is a beautiful dreamy piece. Native American flutes shine on “Peace will Come” by Dan Oakenhead. Normally this much smarmy goody goody, love everyone kind of stuff would bore the hell out of us. But, the music on this CD is just so good, we can’t help but like it.
