Brand new music from a brand new band. Headed by Reese Roper of Five Iron Frenzy fame, this new act comes out of the gate rockin’ hard. Thirteen tracks of power-pop, radio friendly music to delight the ears. Collectively the songs tell us that this is an act to take seriously. The tunes are well written. The produciton quality is above average. Even the insert has full color, looks cool and was well designed. All the tunes have that big music feel. Speed-metal riffs and stadium crowd noises come in to play on “Vendetta.” “Red Eye to Miami” has hip-hop rapping. A glance at their website reveals that the band has a strong Christian Rock inclination. Just look at the tour of churches across the country where they are playing. Thankfully, the music and lyrics aren’t the usual crappy, preachy, Christian rock. We would never even noticed from just listening to the CD.
There’s nothing mediocre about this disc.
