Prymal Rhythm – Take One

Prymal Rhythm - Take One

PRYMAL RHYTHM, TAKE ONE 2006

Holy crap !  This is one fine listen.  Though a little muddy and bassy, this three-piece from Loveland mood and brood throughout Take One, a 2006 release.  A lost gem of musical musings that starts with “High Life”  and ends with an untitled 2:17 track 9 of acoustic bliss guitars and vocals that grab your neck with tight fingers.  “ I don’t know how much longer I can last.”  Has a didgeridoo on “Prymal Rhythm” ever sounded as cool since Rolf Harris?  Thank you Jason Cage.  “Fireside Warm” , with poppin’ guitar, flute and vocals that make you cry.  Doc ( poetry ), has a great, low register voice with a rhythm all his own.  Almost whispered-word.  “Gypsy Woman” surrounds Middle Eastern sensuality with Zeppelin appeal.  “Salt” bass line is sneaky, slippery and soaring guitar by Y (music).  Percussion by Zjhok (rhythm) is not too mechanical and fits the moodliness, as on “Angels Cry”.  Once again I wept out of pure joy to hear music so new and wondrous, music that is emotional and tight, music that creates images so vivid.  All the tunes were written and performed by the trio at Circle Moon and Sanctuary studios.  Very nice segueing all the tracks with environmental sound bites.  Thank you.  And special thanks given to the Resonate Harmonic Frequency of the Universe.  Very cool but please somebody explain that to me.  So there it is.  PRYMAL RHYTHM.  TAKE ONE.
Get it, buy it, steal it, burn it.  Just get it.  Got it?
