A More Perfect Union, is overproduced with annoying effects, echoes and crap. Lots of electronics/keyboards makes it hard to understand the lyrics, not that we minded so much. When we could make them out we got “Dancing with Mother Mary” which is the worst kind of over-indulgent Christian rock. Just because Jesus is part of the song, doesn’t make it a good song. Now, no mistaking, some Christian rock is good, but that goes for any genre. Sery’s holier-then-thou attitude pervades the whole CD. The last thing we want is to be proselytized while listening to something that’s supposed to be entertaining. His vocals are weak, too. We suspect that explains the overabundance of annoying effects.
Buy this CD only if you are desperate to find Jesus.
Or better yet, go to church where you’ll hear better music.
