“Oh, no!” we thought, “Trance music. That’s gonna suck.” However, we were pleasantly surprised to find that Trance Castle, was not as boring or monotonous as expected. In fact, we were even entertained and found Jiva Train’s approach refreshing. The sparse vocals, are not a bad thing, as they are definitely the weakest part of the music. There is some excellent guitar-work throughout and some creative extras on “Cosmic Things.” The cool piano work shines on “Latin Love.” Trance Castle took us on a pleasant journey instead of the expected endlessly boring trip in a psychedelic-painted-school-bus driving to nowhere.
